Our Objectives
The objective of this Association shall be to foster closer relationship and cooperation among the NRN community spread all over the world and between the NRN community and Nepal. The Association shall strive to contribute to the overall development of Nepal. In this context, NRN refers to both people of Nepali origin who have acquired foreign citizenship and people of Nepali origin who currently hold Nepali passport but who have lived outside India and Bhutan for a period of more than 183 days by representing and promoting their interests both in Nepal and abroad. To this end, the Association shall:
Promote Nepal and generate support for its interest in countries of their residence and at international organizations;
Facilitate and attract NRN and foreign investment in Nepal;
Strive to create conditions conducive to investment by the NRN in Nepal and the utilization in Nepal of the talents and skills of the NRN;
Foster closer co-operation among the NRN communities scattered in different parts of the world; and
Function as an international forum for the promotion and protection of the interests of the NRN communities both in Nepal and abroad.
Future Programs of the NRN-NCC NL
NRN-NCC NL is in its evolutionary phase. Its programs at this stage are modest. Organizing and motivating Nepali citizen, people of Nepali origin (PNO) and the friends of Nepal for the socio-economic development of Nepal are the main aims and concerns of the NRN-NCC NL. Currently, it is working closely with Nepal Development Academy in organizing some programs. It aims to carry out the following programs in near future.
Extend possible support to the NRN-ICC programs and activities – Being a national chapter of the NRN-ICC, it aims to extend possible support in implementing the programs and projects identified and agreed by the ICC. Establish close coordination with the organizations working for Nepal - NRN-NCC NL is planning to create a broad network of Nepali people and communities to contribute to socio-economical development of Nepal. It is also planning to hold a joint meeting with all organizations to identify the possible areas of cooperation.
Promoting Nepali culture and providing information – It is aiming to providing information, promoting Nepalese culture and facilitating knowledge, expertise and finance for overall development of Nepal. NRN-NCC NL and NDA are planning to working in partnership to promote Nepali culture and tradition to provide the service as the Nepal Culture Centre.
Language education for Nepali - The majority of the non-resident Nepali has difficulties with the Dutch language. NRN-NL and NDA are planning to address the language problem by providing language courses to its members.
Protection of the interests of non-resident Nepali – NRN-NCC NL is common forum of non-resident Nepali living, working and studying in the Netherlands. It aims to be an intermediary between its members and the related organizations.
